For 400 V applications, red 5-pole CEE couplings are available. HILPRESS offers one version rated at 16 A and another version rated at 32 A.
Both versions are marked 5p=6h and are designed for a frequency of 50/60 Hz. Whether a 16 A or 32 A version is required depends on the intended electrical installation and the corresponding plug.
A 16 A coupling must therefore not be used for a 32 A application simply because the colour and number of poles are the same.
IP44 protection for CEE couplings
All HP Klick-Fix® CEE coupling sockets currently offered in this category have IP44 protection. They are therefore protected against splash water and suitable for corresponding operating conditions.
Nevertheless, the required protection rating for the specific installation environment should always be checked before selecting a product. Applications with higher requirements regarding protection against water or other environmental influences may require a different protection rating.
