Cable drillers for organised cable management
Cable drillers are practical fastening elements for the structured routing and bundling of cables and wires. They can be used wherever cables need to be held together or fixed in a specific position.
The appropriate design depends in particular on the diameter of the cable bundle and the required mounting method. HILPRESS therefore offers classic cable drillers as well as special versions with an adhesive mount, push mount or double cable driller design.
HP-FIXIT® cable drillers made from polyamide 6.6
HP-FIXIT® cable drillers are made from polyamide 6.6 and are specified according to UL 94 V-2. The temperature range is from -40 °C to +80 °C.
Standard versions are available in natural colour. Different dimensions allow the cable drillers to be matched to various cable and wire bundles.
Standard cable drillers are available, for example, for maximum bundle diameters of 4.5 mm, 7.3 mm, 10.5 mm, 14 mm and 17 mm. Item numbers with the suffix K indicate small packaging units for standard cable drillers.
Cable drillers with an adhesive mount
Cable drillers with an adhesive mount combine the bundling of cables and wires with the option of fastening them to a suitable surface. This means that no separate mounting base is required.
HP-FIXIT® cable drillers with an adhesive mount are also made from polyamide 6.6 according to UL 94 V-2 and are designed for a temperature range from -40 °C to +80 °C.
Depending on the version, they are suitable for bundle diameters of 7 to 10 mm, 10 to 15 mm or 15 to 20 mm.
When selecting a product, you should also ensure that the surface and operating conditions are suitable for adhesive mounting.
Cable drillers with a push mount and double cable drillers
For installation situations in which mechanical fastening through an existing opening is required, HILPRESS offers cable drillers with a push mount. These versions are fixed at the intended mounting point using the push mount.
Depending on the product, the dimensions, required panel thickness and mounting hole diameter vary.
Double cable drillers provide a design for separately holding or routing two cable strands. These versions are also made from polyamide 6.6 according to UL 94 V-2.
The suitable version should be selected according to the specific installation situation and the technical dimensions of the respective product.
How to choose the right cable driller
When selecting a cable driller, first determine the diameter of the cable or wire bundle to be secured. The specified maximum bundle diameter should match the application and must not be exceeded.
The appropriate mounting method should then be selected:
- Standard cable drillers for classic bundling tasks
- Cable drillers with an adhesive mount for simultaneous fastening to a suitable surface
- Cable drillers with a push mount for suitable mounting openings
- Double cable drillers for special cable routing requirements involving two cable strands
