Applications of braided hoses

Braided hoses are usually used to bundle cables to ensure proper routing and protection. Especially in electrical engineering, electronics and mechanical engineering. They are used to protect cables and wires from mechanical stress, wear, damage or electromagnetic interference.

Properties of braided hoses

The HIL-FLEX^® braided hose is a highly flexible monofilament hose made of polyester. As a monofilament it consists of a single thick strand that is woven or braided into a hose. In contrast to multifilament braided hose, monofilament braided hoses have a higher tensile strength. In addition, the HIL-FLEX^® braided hose ensures

• a neat and organised wiring,
• protection from damage
• and an additional safety layer for cables and wires.

The hose can be easily using a thermal cutter. The continuous operating temperature is between -50 °C and +150 °C. The monofilament braided hose is available in the colour black as box, reel or spool.

Braided hose with Velcro fastener

Our HIL-FLEX^® braided hose with Velcro is made of a braid of thin polyester threads that forms a flexible protective cover. In contrast to a normal monofilament braided hose, a Velcro fastener is attached to the long sides of the hose. Thus the hose ensures

• an easier opening and closing,
• easy installation and maintenance
• and greater flexibility in wiring.

The ease of opening and closing means that cables and wires can be easily added or removed at a later date.

Due to its elastic structure, the HIL-FLEX^® braided hose with Velcro fastener can be adapted to different diameters and shapes. The hose can be easily cut using a thermal cutter. The continuous service temperature is between -50 °C and +150 °C and is available in the colours black and grey on reels.
