History
The company was founded in 1985. Its core business is the sale of electrical connector material and the special tools associated with work in this field.
These items are produced by sub-contractors who work on the company’s own tool lines to make even customer-specific solutions a reality.
The company moved to a fully modernized new building in 1991, when its storage and office space was no longer sufficient for its needs.
As a result of the expansion of the product range, a new, larger warehouse was built in 1995, laying the foundations for more-efficient work and further growth.
In 1996, HILPRESS GmbH took over FLICK Verbinder GmbH, based in the town of Soest, and integrated all of its employees.
An additional building complex was constructed in the Hummelsbüttel district of Hamburg in 2002.
In 2006, the subsidiary FLICK Verbinder GmbH was integrated into HILPRESS. The branch location in Soest was closed.
